The engineer will do a chemical flush or power flush to clean your heating system. Next, pipework will be adjusted to minimise heat lose, maximise flow rates and suit your new boiler configuration. Then the boiler is fitted. Once fitted, the Gas Safe or OFTEC (oil) engineers will perform a commissioning test and complete a "benchmark checklist."
The engineers will complete your Manufacturer's registration required for your Manufacturer´s Warranty and book your free 1 year boiler service for the next year to make sure your boiler stays covered by your Manufacturers Warranty.
A "straight swap" of a combi boiler with a similar combi boiler can usually be done same day with 2 engineers completing work within 4 to 8 hours. Installations requiring a conversion from a different type of heating system may take between 2 to 3 days depending on the amount of new pipework that is needed.
For example, if a back boiler or a regular boiler (with cold water tank in the loft) or system boiler with a connected hot water tank are converted to a modern combi boiler.
